But how does it work? Rats aren't fans of the texture, sound, or sensation of foil under their tiny feet. The crinkling noise startles them, and the slippery surface gives them no traction. They quickly learn to associate these areas with unpleasant experiences and steer clear. This is particularly effective for smaller problem areas.
